Devon D A Winter Walks 2018/2019

Hi everyone,

Well here we are again, coming to the end of the camping season. Hopefully you have all enjoyed the beautiful weather. Now it’s time for the winter walks to begin. A program is listed below, and it would be lovely if you could join us on some of them.

All walks start at 11 a.m. Please bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate footwear and wet weather gear.

Sunday November 18th 2018:
Walk leaders: Chris & Angela Heard 01404 813859
Start at 11am. Meet at Stover Country Park car park (£3.00 fee for all day) map ref: 833 753.
A walk by the old canal to Newton Abbot and return by the river and through woods. Easy walking, no stiles, mainly flat and approximately 6.5miles.

Meet at Trenchford Reservoir picnic area car park.
Map ref: 803 826
Level walk around the waters and woods. Between 5.5 and 6 miles.

Sunday January 13th 2019

Start at 11.00am. Meet at Newton St Cyres, near Exeter
A walk beside the river across fields and through the villages.

Sunday February 3rd 2019

Walking across fields and beside the canal and river.

Sunday February 17th 2019

Start at 11am Meet at Red Lion , Shobrooke, Near Crediton EX17 1AT (GR-SS.867013)
We can park in the Red Lion car park and food is served all day for anyone who might like a bite to eat after the walk.
